Kumejima Tsumugi is centered at Yuimaru-kan, 1878-1 Maja, Kumejima Town, Okinawa. In 1977, the cooperative’s area expanded from former Nakazato Village to the whole island of Kumejima, linking the cloth to an island-wide maker community.
